Inaugural Global Private Equity Opportunities Forum in Beijing successfully helps build global partnerships
The sold-out, exclusive event featured educational panels and global networking opportunities at luxurious Rosewood Beijing.
More than 350 distinguished participants, including Chinese institutional investors, family offices and international private equity professionals, gathered at the sold-out 2017 Beijing Global Private Equity Opportunities Forum on May 19-20 in China. About a dozen sponsors backed the successful two-day event at the luxurious Rosewood Beijing. The forum marked the inaugural release of the magazine The China Investor, an industry-leading publication providing readers with access to information about global investments via peer-reviewed articles, exclusive interviews, event coverage and industry news.
A networking VIP cocktail reception kicked off the exclusive forum, followed by a day filled of moderated educational panels with 40 speakers focusing on the hot topics of Chinese hotel investments in the U.S. and Europe, how to deal with the top of the real estate cycle, getting beyond the gateway markets, Chinese outbound investments in 2017 and what Chinese institutional investors can expect from an international partner.
Workshop attendees mingled during the scheduled networking breaks, building connections in an intimate environment, followed by more networking opportunities during a private cocktail reception. Through interactive workshops, networking breaks and powerful One-on-One introductions, participants could grow their overseas partnerships.
Workshop moderators and panelists included prominent leaders in the industry, including Darren Xia of JLL, David Sudeck of Jeffer Mangels Butler and Mitchell, Henry Zou of Henry Global Consulting Group, Scott Barrack of Colony NorthStar and Dan Flanigan of Polsinelli.
Participants, like panel moderator and diamond exhibitor Olof Akesson of Civitas Capital Group, said the event helped “deepening existing relationships as well as building new ones.”
Joanna Jiang of Ballard Spahr LLP agreed.
"This is one of the most well-organized event that I have ever attended,” she said. “I am very impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of your team. I appreciated you making introductions as well."
Panelist Jason Zhao of China Post Life Insurance Company also praised the forum.
"I am very impressed by the quality of the event,” he said. “Looking forward to meeting you in Shanghai later this year."
The next opportunity to benefit from The China Investor’s networking is the 2017 Shanghai Global Private Equity Opportunities Forum on Nov. 8-9 at Jing An Shangri-La, West Shanghai, China.
