With the number of EB-5 visas to Indian investors having more than tripled over the past five years, EB5 Investors Magazine and Uglobal Immigration Magazine hosted the largest EB-5 and global immigration expo in India on Oct. 6 for a second year. The number of Indian millionaires is also expected to rise by 65 percent by 2020, adding to the increasing demand for global investment immigration.
The sold-out event took place at the prestigious St. Regis Mumbai before a distinguished crowd of hundreds of migration agents, EB-5 regional centers, developers, immigration attorneys and other local industry professionals. More than 30 speakers and 35 sponsors contributed to the success of the conference, sharing their special industry insights and showcasing their offerings.
A new feature at this year’s event included the opportunity to learn how to become an investment immigration agent. Another highlight was the Question and Answer expert panel, where participants kicked off the expo by asking professionals questions about programs.
The full-day expo featured a variety of interactive panels, including one about the legislative future of the U.S. EB-5 immigrant investor program, best practices for EB-5 project due diligence, global alternatives to EB-5 and relevant issues facing Indian investors.
Expo participants also had many opportunities to network with EB-5 and global citizenship-by-investment and residency-by-investment professionals, expanding its global client base.
It has been a busy year for EB5 Investors and Uglobal, with conferences in Vietnam, China, South Korea, Brazil and Los Angeles. This year, we also launched the Top 100 Global Migration Agency CEO Awards to honor leadership among global migration agencies, including in India.
