Clinton Wu is the director of corporate finance with Jones Lang LaSalle Ltd where he works with the firm’s Greater China’s Corporate Finance team based in Hong Kong.

Wu specializes in asset-backed securitization, debt financing, joint venture equity placement, and mergers and acquisitions. He focuses on analyzing, acquiring, managing and dispositioning debt and equity investments in the real estate sector.

Wu has been working in the financial investment and real estate finance industries for 18 years. Wu initially worked for JLL from 2005-2008. After that, he was an associate with Bank of America Merrill Lynch’ Real Estate Principal Investments, working in China. He then worked for ATABax Investment Management Ltd. and Cindat Capital Management Ltd., also in China.

Wu returned to JLL in 2015 as executive vice president of overseas investments and was responsible for advising clients on making overseas investments in the hospitality sector. He was made director of corporate finance in January 2017 and is a key member of JLL’s initiative to launch its corporate finance advisory practice in the Greater China region.

Some of Wu’s notable work includes assisting Shanghai Yuyuan Mart in the acquisition of a large ski resort on the Japanese island of Hokkaido and assisting a group of Sichuan-based investors in acquiring San Juan Marriott Resort.

Wu is also an advisor to the Wuxi Business Development Bureau, and he is vice president of the Hotel Investors Association of China Chamber of Commerce.

Wu earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with a concentration in real estate finance and hospitality management, at Cornell University in New York. He speaks Mandarin and English.
