Cross Border Transaction Advisor

Mark Wong is an attorney and director of Duane Morris & Selvam, a joint law venture based in Singapore. He specializes in corporate law, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and international law. Wong advises on commercial contracts, joint ventures, private equity investments, corporate restructuring and financing.

Wong’s experience includes representing major companies and business groups in Myanmar, China, France, Singapore and in other countries in Europe, Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

Some of his past work includes: helping facilitate a mixed-use development in Indonesia; aiding a Chinese client in acquiring a stake in a French container terminal developer and operator; advising an environmental industry group on a bid to develop a solid waste treatment and management project in India; assisting a French poultry processor to acquire an English chilled and frozen foods manufacturer; and helping a Franco-Dutch airline establish a joint venture in Mumbai.

Prior to entering private practice, Wong worked for the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris and other law firms in Paris, Singapore and Beijing.

He is admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and as a lawyer of the Court of Appeal of Paris.

Wong has master’s degrees in international economics from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and in international commercial law from Paris Nanterre University. He also has as a graduate diploma in Singapore law from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Leicester in the U.K.

Wong is listed in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2018 as a recommended lawyer for energy projects.

Wong speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and French.
