Grenada

Avril Anande Trotman-Joseph is a Grenada local agent. She is currently managing partner of Joseph & Joseph, a law firm based in St. George’s, Grenada.

Trotman-Joseph has more than 30 years of legal experience. She practices and advises on investment, citizenship-by-investment, tax law, commercial law and telecommunications. Trotman-Joseph is a registered citizenship-by-investment local agent and a notary public.

She has been called to the bars of Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Grenada and the British Virgin Islands. Trotman-Joseph serves as chairperson of Grenada’s Integrity Commission, chair of the Caribbean Institute of Women in Leadership and is a former president of the Grenada Bar Association.

She is formerly the solicitor general of Grenada, a post she held from 2004 to 2006. She also founded a law firm in Guyana, Chapman & Trotman Attorneys at Law. In Guyana, she consulted for UNICEF, served as president of the Guyana Bar Association and for a tourism association. She has spent portions of her career consulting for U.N. Women and for children’s rights.

Trotman-Joseph has an LL.B. from the University of the West Indies, a legal education certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School and LL.M. from the University of London.
