Benedetto Lonato is an Italian immigration attorney. He is a partner at LCA Studio Legale, based in Milan, Italy.

LCA practices a variety of legal fields, including corporate law, tax law, intellectual property, transportation and shipping law, as well as specialized fields for the energy, finance, food and beverage industries. The firm has locations throughout Italy in Milan, Genoa and Treviso, as well as a fourth office in the United Arab Emirates. Lonato has been with LCA since 2007.

In his immigration practice, Lonato represents national and international clients with their corporate immigration needs, such as inbound or outbound transfers to or from Italy. He also provides legal consultation to the industrial and manufacturing sectors, bringing to his practice his experience in national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and debt capital market transactions.

Prior joining LCA, Lonato worked for other law firms, where he worked on freight recovery for shipping lines, subrogated recoveries for marine insurers and other shipping-related matters. He has also interned for a U.S. law firm in California, practicing U.S. immigration law.

Lonato is the co-author of the Italian chapter in the 2014 edition of “The Corporate Immigration Review.”

Lonato has a law degree from the University of Genoa. He is a member of the International Bar Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is a regular speaker for seminars and workshops related to capital market themes. Lonato speaks Italian and English.
