Bringing experience in managing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, Elena Koltsova is the founder of Family Office Ltd., a Malta-based provider of professional and family services.She launched the firm in 2014 to specialize in citizenship, residency and tax residency, corporate and trustee services, consulting and risk management, yachting and aviation, and exclusive real estate, legal and family services. Koltsova brings expertise in corporate law, fiduciary law, contract law, anti-money laundering law and shipping law.Koltsova’s clients are involved in pharmaceuticals, real estate and yacht ownership. Sheoften acts as a company director and plays a role in their management and administration. She has worked closely with tax advisers, lawyers, local and international banks, property management companies, and auditors in Malta, Cyprus, Russia, the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and the Bailiwick of Jersey.Koltsova has also put in place international corporate structures in Malta, British Virgin Islands, Russia and other jurisdictions and set up yacht-owning structures, and management and administration for shipping companies, in the South of France and Monaco.Koltsova started out as a lawyer for the city of Arkhangelsk, Russia, advising the mayor and the city administration, drafting legal notices and laws, consulting on aspects of Russian law and representing the administration in court. In 2004, Koltsova moved to head the legal department of Belomor Freight Co., a shipping company.Koltsova earned her law degree in 1998 from Pomor State University in Arkhangelsk, Russia, In 2000, she completed a program in business management and administration through the All-Russian State Distance-Learning Institute of Finance and Economics in Moscow. She received a doctorate in law from Kazan State University in Kazan, Russia in 2006 and has earned certifications in anti-money laundering and in trust law and management.
