Corporate and Securities Attorney Emilia Shi is a senior partner with Dentons Beijing LLP, working in the law firm’s Shanghai office. After over 17 years working in private practice, she joined Dentons Beijing LLP in 2014 as a partner. Previously, she worked with various foreign and domestic law firms and in legal departments within several multinational companies.

Shi’s primary areas of practice include corporate governance and compliance, foreign direct investment (FDI), mergers and acquisitions, private equity and real estate. She has advised clients on projects covering automobiles, chemicals, education, manufacturing, media, pharmaceuticals and real estate.

Listed among Shi’s notable work is serving as a compliance leader at two Asian Pacific Fortune 500 companies for nearly five years, becoming experienced with compliance policy auditing, investigation, and review.

Shi earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at the Renmin University of China in Beijing and received her Bachelor of Laws degree from Fudan University in Shanghai. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Shanghai International Studies University. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
