Linda Lei is a founding partner at Getech Law LLC, a Chicago-based firm specializing in corporate, commercial, real estate and intellectual property law, as well as business migration. She started the firm in April 2017.

Lei has assisted a wide range of clients, with work ranging from helping entrepreneurs draft their corporate articles to facilitating deals for multinational corporations. She has extensive experience in trademark/copyright prosecutions, EB-5 applications, disputes, IP licensing agreements and other IP-related and commercial agreements. Lei has also advised on overall legal strategy, particularly trademark strategy, and other issues related to the operations, marketing, product and service functions.

Lei’s law experience has helped deliver results in real estate deals for various residential and commercial real estate negotiations and closings. She is a certified real estate agent.

Prior to founding Getech, Lei worked as an attorney for various firms in Chicago, doing business immigration, intellectual property and general litigation. She served as lead strategist in 2013 and 2014 for Legal Eyez, LLZ, conducting legal research and preparing various legal documents in the areas of real estate litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, evictions and mortgage litigation.

In 2011, she completed her judicial clerkship with Associate Judge Sanjay Tailor of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

Lei has a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from Wuhan University in China. She earned her J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2013.

In addition to English, Lei speaks Mandarin, her native language.
