James Scerri Worley is a founding partner of Advocates Primei law firm in Valletta, Malta and leader of its immigration department. Worley specializes in commercial law, corporate law, and financial services legislation. His clients range from credit and financial institutions to iGaming, or Internet gambling, companies.Advocates Primei, which serves Maltese clients and numerous international clients, specializes in immigration law, financial services legislation, international tax planning, corporate law, and civil disputes. The firm also acts as an agent for the Citizenship by Investment Programme and several other programs currently available under Maltese jurisdiction. Additionally, its corporate arm—Primei Fiduciary Ltd.—specializes in residence and high-net worth individual services, trust management, and estate planning.Before joining Advocates Primei in 2010, Worley worked for Hugh Peralta & Associates law firm, also in Malta, where he was head of both the commercial and corporate departments. He also worked as a tax lawyer and manager with an international audit firm.Worley is a member of the Maltese Chamber of Advocates and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP). He currently serves as legal director at Avanzia Taxand Ltd. Healso lends his services to the Faculty of Law for the University of Malta.Worley received a Doctor of Laws degree, a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in financial services, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in law and music at the University of Malta. He was admitted to the Maltese Legal Bar in 2004. He speaks English, Maltese, and Italian.
