Attorney Jason Ju is a partner of Duan & Duan law firm, which focuses on corporate and commercial matters, foreign direct investment, intellectual property, international commercial arbitration and litigation and mergers and acquisitions.

Heading the law firm’s Hong Kong Office, Ju provides legal services in complex cross-border commercial disputes resolution. He has experience representing several clients, both domestic and foreign, in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Ju has handled numerous international commercial arbitration and litigation cases, including representing a Chinese bowling equipment supplier in an ad hoc arbitration with an American company, representing a Chinese state-owned power plant constructor in an ad hoc arbitration with a Hong Kong, representing a Chinese stated-owned oil company in an ad hoc arbitration with a Swedish company and representing a Shanghai privately-owned enterprise in an International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration with a Korean company.

Ju has also represented internationally famous brands such as Chivas Regal, Martell, Pernod Ricard, and 3M to protect their intellectual property rights in China. In particular, he helped Chivas Brothers Limited obtain trademark recognition from the Trademark Office under the State General Administration of Industry and Commerce for its Chivas Regal brand in 2009.

Ju earned a Bachelor’s degree from Peking University Law School (Faculty of Law) in 1998. He was admitted to practice law in 2002 and currently serves as a member of the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Shanghai Bar Association. Ju was selected as a Top 10 Outstanding Young Lawyers of Pudong New Area of Shanghai in 2009. He speaks Chinese and English.
