With more than 12 years of experience in real estate and finance, Jason Zhang is a bilingual professional specialized in cross-border investment. He is currently serving as the Head of Greater China Outbound Investment for Cushman & Wakefield, managing outbound client relationships in this region, as well as facilitating transactions together with different global offices.

Before joining Cushman, Jason was serving as the Senior Director of Asia Pacific investment group for Fosun Property, the real estate investment and management arm of Fosun Group, one of the largest privately owned conglomerates in China. As one of the earliest team members who started the overseas real estate investment business for Fosun, Jason was previously covering North America, Australia, and South East Asia and his responsibilities include local business development and team building, deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution, as well as management of assets and local offices. He was the key member to acquire Fosun’s first overseas residential project, a 600-million USD condo development in Midtown Manhattan, and actively involved in the management of Liberty 28, a 900-million USD office property investment in downtown Manhattan as well as 78 Miller Street, a 160 million AUD office property investment in North Sydney, Australia.

Prior to Fosun, Jason worked for a NYSE listed Chinese real estate developer as its director of overseas investment, participating in the evaluation, negotiation, and acquisition of development and investment projects in the US, having completed 3 acquisitions with a total investment value more than 200 million USD, and GFA over 400,000 square feet, including the first major residential development project in New York by a Chinese developer. He also previously worked for Merrill Lynch and UBS as a private banker in Hong Kong, managing overseas assets over 50 million USD for high net-worth individuals from China.

Jason holds a Bachelor degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a native Shanghainese with more than 10 years of experience living abroad.
