Jonathan Zhang is the CEO and founder of 5CGroup International Corporation and is an international consultant in the fields of finance, law, and tax, especially for companies in the industries of infrastructure, oil, and gas, renewable energy and “smart city” technology. Zhang has worked for the governments of Hangzhou and Ningbo; worked in economic development zones, export processing zones and free trade zones; and has assisted global companies with relocation for over 15 years.

Zhang’s areas of focus include capital operation, construction, due diligence analysis, energy, healthcare, industrial real estate, infrastructure, international finance, and tax as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Zhang works with China’s One Belt One Road initiative. He helps large state-own companies expand overseas, carrying out projects in construction, energy and mega infrastructure. Zhang has a full understanding of FIDIC and has traveled to over 50 countries.

Zhang consults on company formation, factory building and site selection for international companies in China. He links private equity funds, overseas venture capital and trust funds to Chinese manufacturing companies through mergers and acquisitions. Also, he was instrumental in introducing European wind turbine and blade technology to China.

Among Zhang’s major cases, he has assisted in the acquisition of Aromatech Fragrance and Flavor (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. for Longbeing International Limited, assisted US-based TriMas Group with the share transfer for its Chinese subsidiaries and participated in establishing in China trust and funds of Trinity Finance Limited, Galaxy International of Hong Kong, Red Maple Wind Blade Mould Co., Ltd. Currently, he works as a legal and business consultant for China National Petroleum Corp. for its overseas infrastructure and energy construction projects in Pakistan, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.
