Mona Dajani is a partner with Baker and McKenzie LLP, working in the law firm’s New York and Chicago offices. Also, she is elected member the Steering Committee for the Banking and Finance Group.

Dajani has over 20 years of experience as a lead lawyer in complex transactions involving acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and project development. She’s actively involved in energy and infrastructure facilities in the United States and around the world. She concentrates her global practice on project finance, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio acquisitions, tax equity, construction and/or restructuring and assists government and private clients in various energy and infrastructure related projects.

Dajani represents numerous clients in global transactions throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, including commercial and public institutions, sponsors, utilities, financial institutions, underwriters, energy and clean technology companies, private equity funds, investment banks and multilateral agencies.

Before joining Baker and McKenzie in 2011, Dajani was a partner with Dentons. Previously, she was an attorney with Kirkland & Ellis.

Dajani is active in several professional organizations and has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work. She serves on the American Council on Renewable Energy Board of Directors and the American Bar Association, where she is the vice chairperson of the Project Finance of the Energy Infrastructure and Siting Committee. She has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Rising Legal Stars, and Law 360.

Dajani received her Juris Doctor (JD), summa cum laude, at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA), with Distinction, at the University of St. Thomas, and she earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in economics and political science, magna cum laude, at the University of Illinois. Dajani is admitted to the New York and Illinois State Bar Associations. She speaks English and French.
