Simon Robertson is a cross-border transaction advisor with R&P China Lawyers in Shanghai. Offering legal and tax advice, Robertson has experience advising foreign companies on incorporating and running a business in China, having helped numerous U.S. and European companies with their plans to enter the China market.

As a senior client manager with R&P China Lawyers, Robertson focuses on key growth sectors in China, including software development, advertising, green technology, and international asset management. He works with the firm’s lawyers to deliver effective solutions to the legal challenges of Western companies operating in China, and he supports the corporate services team in optimization and delivery schedules.

Before joining R&P China Lawyers in 2016, Robertson worked for Hangarite Business Consulting Ltd. in Shanghai for about three years as a consultant and head of the corporate services department. Previously, he was a sales manager with Shanghai-based Blue Fountain Inc., which distributes educational books and resources.

Robertson earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in economics, with honors, at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. He also attended Donghua University’s international Chinese studies program in Shanghai. Robertson, who has lived in China since 2012, is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
