Real estate attorney Sha He is a senior associate of Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, working in the firm’s Beijing office. She is qualified to practice law in the People's Republic of China (PRC) and California.

Focusing on real estate development and financing, He specializes in cross-border real estate investment, and Chinese inbound and outbound investments. Her clients include Chinese insurance companies, investment managers, construction companies and developers (both state-owned companies and private entities).

Before joining BLP in May 2013, He worked with a leading United States law firm, a major Chinese law firm and an international real estate development company, focusing on acquisition, development, financing, and disposition of real estate assets in China.

More recently, He has assisted Chinese investors in their overseas real estate investments. She was appointed to the overseas investment panel of the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC) in November 2016.

Some of He’s notable cases include advising and helping the following: a Chinese insurance company purchase a London office building for £347m ($460 million) in April 2016; one of China’s largest state-owned asset management companies acquire student housing in the Netherlands in 2016-17; a private overseas hotel investment fund based in Shanghai and Singapore purchase several hotels throughout the United Kingdom since 2015; SRE, a China Minsheng Investment Company group member, acquire and refinance office property in London; Hongkong Land with its relocation, project structuring, bidding of land use rights, and joint venture development of a 30-hectares (74-acre) integrated retail commercial, residential and hotel development project in Wangfujing, Beijing; Tesco Property Group with its development and operation of shopping malls and mixed use schemes in more than 15 cities in China.

He has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and she holds an LL.M. degree from Peking University. He is qualified to practice law in California and China. She speaks English.
