Tim Rong is a corporate/securities attorney and senior partner of SG&CO, specializing in international trade and investment. He has been with the company for more than 16 years, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and due diligence analysis.

Rong provides financial and capital market legal services, including securities issuance, fund establishment and distribution, and real estate finance. He is also experienced in handling litigation and arbitration disputes resulting from commercial contracts.

Rong has provided legal services in numerous cases, including: an issuance of an overseas bond of a company in Xuzhou, Zhuji, Changxing, and other cities in China, an initial public offering (IPO) of Changzhou Shenli Electrical Machine Incorporated Company, the establishment of Guangfa Junce Overseas Investment Fund Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and its Qualified Domestic Limited Partnership (QDLP) and the establishment of Xinchuang Infrastructure Investment Fund and the public-private partnership (PPP) project of Highway G228, a 3.5 billion-yuan ($520 million) 19.6-kilometer (12 mile) road with an undersea tunnel in Ninghai County of Zhejiang Province.

Rong previously held the post of the lecturer of jurisprudence of Hanjiang Normal University in China, and he was a senior supervisor of Jiangsu Rong Industries Co. Ltd. in Hong Kong. Rong earned a master’s degree in civil and commercial law from the Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He passed the China bar examination in 2001. Rong speaks English and Mandarin.
