Tony Mou serves as a lawyer of Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP and a partner of the firm’s Shanghai Corporate and Securities Practice Group. This Group was recognized by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2016 for his work in private equity and venture capital.

Mou offers guidance to multinational companies in the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the United States in general corporate and transactional matters. Mou helps overseas investors set up operations in China and acquire Chinese companies, and he assists Chinese clients with their business expansions, investments, and operations in the U.S.

Mou provides advice in the areas of foreign direct investment, fund formation, inbound and outbound mergers and acquisitions, international tax, PRC employment, private equity and venture capital investments as well as U.S. real estate investments. He represents companies in a variety of industries, including entertainment, fashion, gaming, healthcare, industrial, infrastructure, media, retail, technology, and telecommunications (TMT).

Mou’s practice consults on PRC workforce matters such as labor contracts, leave rights, non-competes and termination. Also, he advises clients litigation and mediation, personal investments, setting up trusts and visa applications. He has experience conducting due diligence investigations in China and the U.S.

Mou earned a Juris Doctor degree at Cornell Law School in New York in 2001. He received a Master of Business Administration from the City University of New York, Bernard M. Baruch College in 1994 and a Bachelor of Arts from National Taiwan University in 1989. Mou speaks English and Chinese.
