Panama

Yolany Alvarado is a lawyer and consultant based in Panama. She is the founder and director of the private trade agency ProPanama, as well as partner of the law firm Alvarado Palacios y Asociados.

ProPanama was founded in 2008 to offer advice and support to foreigners seeking to invest in or relocate to Panama. The company covers a range of services including regulatory matters, banking and mortgage assistance, customs and trade procedures, as well as legal counsel.

Alvarado was granted a law license by Panama’s Supreme Court in 1998, later serving as a judge’s assistant and a judge. In 2001, she launched her private law practice with the law firm Alvarado Palacios y Asociados. Alvarado has published two books and written several articles that were featured in the Supreme Court of Panama’s official journal.

She graduated from Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua.

Alvarado is a member of Panama’s British and American chambers of commerce, as well as being an active member of Panamanian Association of Brokers and Real Estate Developers, where she has served as official legal counsel.

She is fluent in Spanish and English.
