Are international students still banned from entering Japan due to COVID-19?

I am a Chinese national and hold a student visa to Japan. The COVID-19 outbreak has lessened in China and I am considering returning school in Japan. I heard that last month, Japan announced a travel ban against nationals from several countries, including China. I am wondering if this ban is still in effect and if student visa holders are impacted.
