A job seeking visa only exists in the form of a residence permit titled ‘Orientation year highly educated persons’. This residence permit must be preceded by an immigration visa (MVV), which can be applied for at the Dutch embassy in India. You cannot apply for the residence permit while present in the Netherlands on the basis of a tourist visa. To qualify for the MVV and residence permit ‘Orientation year highly educated persons’, you must have completed one of the following study programmes in the past 3 years: an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree programme at a Dutch higher education institution; a post-master's programme in the Netherlands for at least one academic year (at least 10 months); a study programme in the Netherlands in the context of the Cultural Policy (Special-Purpose Funding) Act; a study programme in the Netherlands in the context of the development cooperation policy of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs; a master’s degree program, a doctoral program or a post-master's program at a designated foreign educational institution.
