If the main applicant dies during the Cyprus citizenship application process, can his dependents still move forward with it?

My family and I are only a few months into our citizenship-by-investment application. My father, the main applicant, has died of a sudden illness. We want to press on with our immigration goals. Can we still go forward with the application or do we need to start over?

Although we have never come across such a scenario, in order for someone to be able to be an applicant he or she needs to be alive. In your scenario, probably the wealth of the applicant shall be distributed to the beneficiaries according to his/her will and then you can reapply with a new applicant.

This is something that the ministry would carefully consider. We have not come across such cases but we assume that the process should be continued.

There has to be a main applicant in order for the application to proceed. If the main applicant has deceased, another person has to assume the position of the main applicant.
