Can I apply for a 189 visa again if I have been invited in the past?
I was invited to apply for a 189 visa three years ago. Due to personal reasons, I was unable to submit my documents in time and the invitation expired. Now I would like to re-initiate the process. Am I allowed to submit an expression of interest and enter the pool for invitation again?

Yes, one can submit fresh Expression of Interest and ensure that you have a valid Skills Assessment and IELTS (or PTE) score. Please note that for migration purposes, Australia accepts IELTS score validity for up to 3 years. Also, some skills assessments do have validity date, and you may need to revalidate or reapply and obtain fresh assessment which depends on the skills you have been assessed.

Yes, there is nothing preventing you from submitting a new Expression of Interest into skill select.

Of course, you can make an Expression of Interest application again. However, your skills assessment, experience and IELTS scores may need to be reassessed to ensure that you still align with the said profession you applied for. Further, there may be changes to the current criteria. All in all, the Expression of Interest is free of charge, but you will benefit from a lawyer/agent to be on the record as insurance that you have provided all things that are required for you to make a valid visa application.

Yes. The only limitation stemming from not using an invitation is that you will be limited to one more invitation before that Expression Of Interest (EOI) is removed from the pool. This has no impact on future EOI or visa applications.
