How can I include my mother on my Golden Visa application in Portugal?

We are a family of 3, a mother 55-years-old, and 2 children 24 and 27. We are looking to apply for the Portuguese Golden Visa each as an individual applicant with a separate investment but I am wondering if my mother who is just 55 years old, is it possible to include her as a dependent on one of the children's applications? As my sister's intentions and my intentions are to live and work in Portugal, while our mom will just live with us. Will it be possible to have a dependent parent at that age if she doesn't work? I and my sister don't work yet as we are fresh graduates so it will be hard to prove that she's financially dependent on us as our uncle ( my mother's brother) is the one supporting us financially and will give us the money for the golden visa.

The only way to include your mother on your application for residence permit would be under the purpose of family regrouping. However, this may only be achieved if you provide proof that you and your mother live together, and also that you are responsible for all her living expenses. Given your mother’s age, it would also be required to prove that she doesn’t have any source of income, or that she’s already retired or unable to work.

If your mother doesn't work and has no income, and if you live together, she can probably qualify to be your dependent, regardless of her age. Family reunification for your mother may be possible, but you will have to provide proof of economic dependence since she is under 65 years of age.
