How does Cyprus' citizenship by descent work?

My father's grandmother was born in Cyprus in the 1890's in Baphos. How can I get citizenship if my father is not alive?

Citizenship by descent can only be obtained by the father or the mother. If your father has a Cypriot birth certificate, you may be able to obtain nationality, but you are not eligible on the basis of the birth certificate of your grandfather.
