I am a significant Bitcoin investor who wishes to relocate to the Cayman Islands. Given the islands’ prominence as a financial hub, I am wondering if Bitcoin or other types of cryptocurrency are accepted. Can I use them to fund a business and/or relocation process? Do you have any other advice regarding this?
The Cayman Islands Department of Immigration does not currently accept payment of any application, grant, issue or work permit fees by way of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Similarly, I do not believe Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are accepted anywhere else in the Cayman Islands...watch this space!
