Currently, citizens of seven countries are restricted from making a citizenship by investment application in Antigua & Barbuda, unless they meet certain criteria. The restricted countries are Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Somalia, Yemen and Sudan. Individuals born in these restricted countries but who migrated before the age of majority and/or have maintained permanent residence in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates, for a period of not less than 10 years and maintain no economic ties to any restricted country, are eligible to apply. In addition, all applicants will be required to fully comply with the program’s due diligence requirements. So, if you are an Iraqi citizen and meet the above criteria, you can go ahead and make an application.
