There are several options for foreign investors to apply for residency via investment in Malta. In the last six months, Malta has announced two new pieces of legislation – one for citizenship and one for a new permanent residency program. These are the Granting of Citizenship for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment, and the Malta Permanent Residency Program (MPRP). In addition, third-country nationals may invest in the Global Residence Program (GRP).
