How can I apply for a digital nomad visa in Portugal without tax records?

I've never registered for taxes in my home country because it's not really common that people/remote workers do that here. So, I wonder how I can approach applying for a digital nomad visa in Portugal without such document?

In the application for D8 (digital nomad) the foreign tax record of the applicant is not a mandatory document.

Portugal Digital Nomad Visa applicants need to demonstrate their means of subsistence. This can be done through their employment contract, demonstrating their average monthly income derived from their professional activity for the past three months. It needs to be at least equal to four times the guaranteed minimum monthly wage in Portugal. For the year 2024, the amount is €3,280 per month for the applicant. Therefore, it is possible to demonstrate your income solely through receipts of income, or by presenting your employment contract, even without a tax record.
