You do not need to secure venture funding to apply for the Malta Startup Residence Programme. Applications will be vetted based on the business plan, degree of innovation and business viability of the startup. The new incorporated startup in Malta is required to place a tangible investment and/or paid-up share capital of at least €25,000.

How can I apply for Malta’s startup visa?
I have a startup idea and business plan that is very viable and scalable, and I would like to launch it in Malta (I’m from Lebanon). My question is do I have to secure venture funding for the startup to qualify to apply or can I just apply with the business plan for the startup visa?
