If you wish to use this pathway to gain access to Australia then you would need to wait at least 5 years with considerable time spent in New Zealand during this period to obtain New Zealand citizenship, which will allow access to live and work in Australia. If your goal is Australia then you're likely better off applying directly to Australia.
