How can I work in Greece with a blue card?

I received my blue card certificate, which is valid for a year, after submitting all the documents for my residence permit. Does the blue card allow me to work in Greece while waiting for my residence permit?

As a blue card holder, you are allowed to work in Greece as long it is valid. Further actions would be needed.

According to the immigration law, the foreigners who applied for the Greek permanent residence cards as owners of a property in Greece, are not entitled to work in Greece. For that reason, the blue card doesn’t allow a foreigner to work as well. If the foreigner applies for a residence card of another type, for instance, employment, then the blue card allows working until the residence card is issued.

Mary Tsiganou ENERGOPIISI SA Any temporary residence permit(blue card) issued concerns the permanent residence permit profile and gives the same rights as the permanent residence permit under issuance. If your temporary PR is for employment yes you could work from now but be sure what kind of residence permit you had applied for. For example, the permanent residence permit for property owners does not give access to the labor market, so you cannot work legally in Greece, either as a temporary PR holder or as a Golden Visa beneficiary.

It depends under which legislation you applied. If you bought property and applied as investor you cannot work
