I'm a foreigner looking to buy sea view property in Cyprus. Would I be able to gain access to the South (and vice versa) if I buy the property in the North? I understand the island is divided so I want to make sure my permanent residency would be valid across the island.
The only residence permits that are validly issued in the Republic of Cyprus are on the free and non-occupied part of Cyprus. Any other residence permits issued by another country or jurisdiction is to be considered as foreign permit and will be treated based on the European Union free movement of persons.
