How can investors renew their residency permits in Greece if they sell property used for golden visa?

Are investors required to hold on to the properties they used to get residency in Greece under the golden visa program? Can one sell it and reinvest a part of it in something else like investment funds etc., and still be able to renew their five-year permits?

If you keep the property for 5 years, the residence permit will be renewed for another 5 years. If you sell the property within this period, you may have to reinvest in another property with a minimum worth of 250,000 euros. if not, your residency, will be revoked.

If you are going to invest in another property or in intangible assets, eligible as per the law’s requirements for the golden visa, there is a legal process to be followed in order not to jeopardize your residence permit.
