There is no residency scheme for pensioners in the Netherlands. As you are citizens of the U.S., the most feasible basis for residency in the Netherland is via DAFT (Dutch-American friendship treaty). This residency scheme requires the applicant to register an enterprise in which an amount of at least €4,500 is invested. It is not required to demonstrate any minimum profit or income, although some documents may be requested to show business activities within the enterprise in the course of an extension application.
