How can wealthy foreigners from conflict zones gain residency via investment in Italy?

I’m a non-EU investor from a country embroiled in conflict and I’m looking to move with my family wealth to a European country like Italy via investment. What extra documentations would be required from me because, for example, I come from a warzone like Afghanistan or Libya?

No extra documentation is required, the documents listed in the Ministry's guidelines will suffice. The difficulty you may face is obtaining legalized documents, such as criminal certificates, if your country is at war and offices are closed. It is also important to submit to the Ministry the documents proving that you have adequate funds and that all funds have been cleared for the purpose of anti-money laundering compliance.

If you are looking to gain residency in the country through an investment, the general requirements set forth by the law to obtain an investor visa would apply, notwithstanding the country you are coming from.

If you come from a country embroiled in conflict, the Italian government provides you with a "fast lane" in order to get a permission to stay first and the residency status later. There's no need of an investment.
