How does the civil partnership arrangement work in the Netherlands in terms of immigration?

Would I be able to bring my partner to live with me in the Netherlands by having a civil partnership with him? Is it a more complicated process than marriage? He's from Tunisia.

A civil partnership is a valid basis for a residence permit in the Netherlands, just as much as a residence permit on the basis of a marriage. In order to qualify for a partner residence permit, unmarried partners must prove an 'exclusive and sustainable relationship, comparable to a marriage'. To prove this, partners must generally have spent time in each other's presence. This is to be shown by means of photos, tickets, reservations, chat messages and/or proof of financial support.
