How is the NZD 15 million divided up over the four-year period I need to invest it in to qualify for residency by investment in New Zealand?

How much do I need to invest upfront and how is the rest divided? Or is it up to me as long as it is 15 million over four years?

New Zealand Active Investor Plus visa requires you must keep NZD $15 million or the weighted equivalent in acceptable investments in New Zealand for 48 months. However, the investment can be divided up over a period of time: (1) you must have NZD $7.5 million or the weighted equivalent invested within the first 18 months of the investment period (2) you must have a further NZD $7.5 million or the weighted equivalent invested within the first 36 months of the investment period. You must ensure that you have the full NZD $15 million or weighted equivalent invested until the end of the 48-month period.  You must provide evidence of the funds invested at the end of the first 18 months and the third and fourth years you are in New Zealand. You must also retain any investments you have made throughout the 48-month investment period.
