How long would I have to apply for the NHR tax breaks as a Portuguese golden visa holder before they're abolished?
I plan to visit Portugal and start the process in January 2024, would that be too late? Can I start the process remotely?

NHR application can be done from abroad; a legal / tax advisor to assist is advisable. The Portuguese Government is still analyzing what will be the concrete ending date of the NHR program, being under consideration a transitional period.
