How long would I have to hold a deposit in a Greek bank account in order to qualify for the Golden Visa?

Once approved, can I start using the funds to make purchases and investments inside the country?

A citizen of a third country, holder of a valid residence permit, pursuant to Art. 16C, for investment in term deposit, may liquidate the investment, in order to invest, within an exclusive period of two months, in another category of the same Article or in immovable property, in accordance with paragraph B of article 20. In this case, the citizen of a third country keeps the already granted residence permit until the completion of the procedures for certifying the new overall investment and granting the residence permit pursuant to it. The above are also occupied by the applicant's family members. There is no min. required period to keep your term deposit if you decide to invest in other investment options. Be aware to invest in the acceptable options by the Immigration Code.
