  There is no legislative process to add a partner to a temporary visa after the visa has been granted. However as a work-around, there is a process called "subsequent entrant" that is an administrative process to issue the same visa for your spouse. You'll need to make an application via the immiaccount, the fee will be the full visa application charge (not the reduced spouse visa application charge which is normally around 50%), and the spouse will need to meet the relationship, health and character requirements. In addition, your spouse will need to demonstrate Functional English or pay the 2nd VAC in lieu of this.

  If you get married when you are holding subclass 188 visa, you first update these details by uploading Form 1022, and then you must file a separate online application for Subsequent Entrant for your stream of visa.
