How can I purchase land and apply for the Greek Golden Visa?

I want to apply for the Greek Golden Visa. I found a piece of land in the suburbs of Thessaloniki. Can I purchase this land for $350,000 and use it for the Greek Golden Visa program before I come up with a detailed developing plan?

Yes, of course. You can buy land for this price, get the Golden Visa and then start (or not) construction. Law doesn’t oblige you to build on the plot. The important thing is to buy real estate for a minimum value of 250,000.

Beneficiaries of the right of entry and the permanent resident permit for property owners, which shall be renewed every five years, are: third-country citizens who own real estate property in Greece, either personally or through a legal entity of which they own the total of the company shares, provided the minimum value of the property is 250,000 euros. The law states that 250,000 euros must be the stated price on the contract. It does not distinguish between commercial and residential properties or even a plot. So in your case, you can proceed with the acquisition of the plot and apply for a Golden Visa.

You can apply for a Golden Visa by purchasing a plot in Greece. It doesn't have to be a house or a construction whatsoever. Please note that there are other details concerning the purchase of a real estate property in Greece, the procedure and the total cost of it.
