Whilst a recent report by the European Parliament (EP), put forward a possible tax that would affect EU countries offering citizenship by investment, it was one of several policy suggestions that are being mooted by the EP. No new policies or laws have yet been established. As such, there are no changes that have been made to Malta's Citizenship for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment. The eligibility and investment requirements remain the same.
