Is it possible to participate in multiple European Golden Visa programs at once?

I am in the process of getting my Greek Golden Visa through a real estate purchase. However, I am also interested in the real estate of other countries, like Portugal or Malta. Can I hold multiple permits and keep my Greek Golden Visa?

The Golden Visa law does not include any restraining terms as to how many European resident permits one holds. Therefore, you can hold as many EU residencies you want as long as you are not an EU citizen. Then you can choose which residency permit you will use while traveling within the Schengen Zone.

There is no restrictions in the Greek law. You are allowed to be a holder of multiple permits.

I don’t think you will have a problem by investing in many countries, and you may choose which permission you will use when travelling to EU.

In principle, every third-country citizen as a holder of any European residence permit may enter Greece for a period not exceeding 90 days within any 180-day period from the date of first entry. If the third-country citizen as above and his family want to live in Greece, they can make use of the right of free movement as stated in our national legislation, according to the provisions of the Presidential Decree. 106/2007. In this case, if the conditions are met, a residence card is granted which provides more rights, including free access to the labor market. If they do not wish to stay in Greece, the third-country citizen may be subject to the provisions of article 20B of Law 4251/1414, as it applies, if he purchases (in its own name) real estate in Greece worth at least 250,000 euros, and be entitled for Golden Visa resident permit together with its direct descendants and ascendants. Lastly, the fact that he/she holds another residence permit in another EU member-state is not a barrier if there is no special regulation to the contrary (for example, they cannot exercise the right of free movement in two EU member-states at the same time).

No need to apply to a second Golden Visa program, as one counts for all countries in the EU. Purchase real estate in other countries without limitations or rules to follow, just your taste.
