What is the processing time for final approval of Portugal's Golden Visa?
I had my fingerprinting appointment 6 months ago in Porto and I am still waiting for final approval. I know another family and they had their fingerprinting appointment a week before me in Porto and their application was approved 2 months ago. I am a single applicant and the application should be simpler. Why is my Golden Visa application still pending?

As foreseen by the Portuguese law, the issuance of a final decision for a golden visa’s application by the authorities is 90 working days in the case of first applications, and 60 working days, when referring to renewal applications. This legal schedule, however, has suffered a bit of a delay, due to the current pandemic situation, as there was a nationwide lockdown and services were closed. Nevertheless, as the vaccination program is underway and the services reopened, it is possible that your application will soon be decided and your resident card duly issued.
