What are some factors that can lead to a loss of Greek residency?

I recently obtained my Golden Visa for Greece. I want to know what factors can lead to a loss of residency. I don't want to risk my status or my investment.

According to the Greek Golden Visa program, the residence permit as an owner of a property in Greece is permanent. Factors that can lead to the loss of your residence permit include selling the property by which you acquired the residence permit. The only case to avoid the loss of your residence permit is to buy another property of a minimum value of 250,000 Euros. If it is proved that you acquired the residence permit by submitting false and/or fake and/ or falsified documents before the immigration office and you cheated the immigration authorities. If you have been convicted of a crime and you are considered dangerous for the Greek public order.

At the time your Golden Visa is valid, you could not transfer your real estate property that you used to obtain Golden Visa in Greece, otherwise, you lose the Greek residency.

There is no risk of losing your Golden Visa for the following 5 years until it is evaluated for renewal.

According to the Greek Golden Visa program for property owners, as long as you keep the property your residence status is secured and every five years renewable, without prejudice to the following reasons. In cases when the real estate (property) is transferred, the GoldenVisa holder loses the right to the respective residence permit, except if he buys another property with a minimum of 250,000 euros or proceeds to another kind of acceptable investment, eligible for Golden Visa privilege. Furthermore, if it is proved that you submitted to the competent Authorities false or fake documents for your residence application or you have been convinced of a crime and you are considered as dangerous for the Greek Public the above are sufficient reasons to lose your residence permit and are stated beyond the property issue.

The main factor that could lead to the loss of the Greek Golden Visa residency if that has been the outcome of the property investment is the sale of the property itself. If you choose to sell the property that you have used to obtain your Golden Visa without first substituting it with another of similar value, then your residence permit in Greece will be automatically revoked.
