The parameters would be defined by the contract between the developer and investor, each one is different. If you buy full freehold real estate within an approved development, or as a significant investment, then you may be able to have a yearly rental Income; after 5 years you may be able to divest of the property. You can only invest using the citizenship-by-investment program in an approved development, so if you are looking to purchase land and build a hotel, you would have to do that through the significant investment section of the program.
