I'm considering the Australian investor visa but there's a weird condition number 8515 - Must not marry or enter into a de facto relationship before entry' - why does this condition exist? What if I do get into a relationship before entering Australia, what would happen then?

This is because they are required to book a marriage ceremony in Australia, and get married in Australia, within 9 months of their visa grant notification, and not prior to their arrival.
Condition 8515 may be attached to your visa which provides that you must not marry or enter into a de facto relationship before entering Australia. This means that from the date the visa is granted, until you have made your first entry into Australia since the grant of the visa, you must not marry or enter into a de facto relationship. You can marry or enter into a de facto relationship after your entry into Australia since the grant of the visa, and you can also apply for a separate dependent subsequent entry visa for them.
