The SEF's recent announcement to chronologically schedule biometrics appointments for golden visa applications, which is already in force, has made it possible for accepted applicants to choose a period when they (and their families) can come to Portugal and have their biometrics data taken, instead of having to depend on another applicant’s appointment cancellation. Since it is now possible to freely schedule the appointments and organize the needed files, it consequently makes processing times faster.
