If you want to apply for an Investor Visa, you should address your investment to equity of companies/innovative startups, government bonds or philanthropic projects. The Investor Visa cannot be granted through a real estate investment (buying a property does not grant you a visa/residence permit for investment).

What happens to my residency permit if my investment property gets destroyed during a wildfire in Italy?
Will I lose my investment and residency if I lose my property in Italy's coastal region in an event like a wildfire? Would I need to get some extra insurance so that I can be safe during my permanent residency process?

The Italian Investor Visa does not include property or real estate investments; Italy’s Investor Visa offers residency, not citizenship. To qualify for the Investor Visa, an applicant can purchase at least 2 million euros in government bonds; or invest at least 500,000 euros in equity instruments of a company based and operating in Italy, or 250,000 euros in case of a start-up company; or donate at least 1 million euros in philanthropic funding supporting projects of public interest in the field of culture, education, immigration, scientific research, recovery of cultural assets and landscapes.
